Services for Perry Robin “Hoss” Davis of Jonesville LA were held Friday, February 9th, 2024 at the Joe Boothe Cemetery in Harrisonburg, LA with Bro Joseph (Beau) Hughes officiating and interment under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria LA.
Hoss, 66, passed away Monday, February 5th, 2024 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Lee “Bo” Davis, Sr and Cecil Ann Boothe Davis of Jonesville, and brother Everett Lee Davis, Jr of Jonesville.
Survivors include one daughter, Toni Davis Scott of Baton Rouge LA; one son, Jack William Davis of Jonesville LA; three sisters, Erma Lynette Ware of Shreveport, LA, Cheryl Anita Franklin and Angela Davis Smart, both of Jonesville; one grandson, Jack Layton; three granddaughters, Leah, Elena, and McKenneth, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Hoss spent many of his years working for Irby Construction and later for Womack Trenching. He was a skilled welder and machine operator. Most of his free time was spent with family and friends at Tew Lake.
Pallbearers were George Barron, Austin Book, James (Bub) Boyd, Jack Layton Davis, Lee Franklin, and Daniel Ready.
