Funeral services for Tina Lewis Taliaferro, 48, of Harrisonburg, LA were held at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 1PM with Bro. Barry Brister and Bro. Robert Bradley officiating. Interment followed at Harrisonburg Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

Tina was born on Wednesday, November 12, 1975, in Natchez, MS and passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was a huge asset to Catahoula Parish Sheriff's Office and took pride in her work. Tina was full of life and lived life to the fullest. She was very comical, always laughing and making others laugh. Tina was always lending a helping hand and you could always count on her being there. She bled purple and gold and was LSU's biggest fan. Tina loved traveling and making memories with family, especially her husband. Tina enjoyed when she could get everyone together. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is reunited with her father, Kirby Canter Lewis; stepfather, Billy Byrnes; paternal grandmother, Billie Johnson; maternal grandfather, George Rider; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Kiser; father-in-law, Henry Taliaferro, Jr, and grandfather, Vernon Byrnes.

Those left behind to cherish Tina's memories are the love of her life, Trey Taliaferro; daughter, Amber Thompson; sons, Landon Thompson and Brandon Thompson and Kylee Hillestad; daughter, Madison Taliaferro and her fiancé Matthew Hall; son, Tal Taliaferro and his wife Leigha; mother, Linda Rider Byrnes; motherin- law, Marcyle Taliaferro and grandmother, Margie Byrnes; sisters, Summer McJimsey and her husband Brian, Rhonda Smith, and Robyn Taliaferro; and grandchildren, Eli Hilton Butler, Adalee Butler, Harvey Hall, Jolie Taliaferro, and Slade Taliaferro; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Those honoring Tina as pallbearers were Landon Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Brian McJimsey, Tal Taliaferro, Toney Edwards, and Casey Wagoner.

Honorary pallbearers were David Hedricks, Ryan Vaught, Paul Thompson, Tyler Butler, and the Catahoula Sheriff's Department.

The family would like to express a special thanks to all the departments that participated in getting Mrs. Tina home from Broussard to Ferriday.

The family received friends at Harrisonburg First Baptist Church on Monday, May 27, 2024, from 11AM until service time at 1PM.
