Funeral services for Ann Bass Cockerham, 85, of Jonesville, LA were held at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11AM with Bro. Beau Edwards and Bro. Aaron Jolly officiating. Interment followed at Harrisonburg Cemetery, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville.

Ann was born on Wednesday, April 5, 1939, in Jonesville, LA and passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was a lifelong resident of the Sandy Lake Community in Jonesville and a member of Oak Grove Free Methodist Church. Ann spent her working years as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service and retired after 37 and a half years. In her free time, she loved spending time with her family.

She is reunited with her husband, Ronald Carl Cockerham; grandson, Rod Cockerham; parents, Surville and Dolley Cotten Bass; and sisters, Peggy Grant and Patsy Thompson.

Those left behind to cherish Ann's memories are sons, Gary Ford and his wife Debbie, Ronnie Cockerham and his wife Kris, and Rodney Cockerham and his wife Felecia; daughter, Cindy Doughty and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Labe Ford, Jeddi Hamilton, Cody Mason and his wife Stormi, Ashley Palmer and her husband Tim, Amy Ainsworth and her husband Conner, Whitney Cockerham, Saylor Cockerham and his wife Mallory, Dayton Lamb, Jaiden Eberwein and her husband Stephen, Laiken Peavey and her husband Andrew, Wendy Webb and her husband Charles, Brandy Calhoun and her husband Frank, Andy Doughty, and Billy Doughty and his wife Chelsea; great-grandchildren, Casen Ford, Saylor and Rodney Cockerham, Kayleigh and Adisyn King, Brendan Rachel, Ava and Harper Peavy, Harvey Eberwein, Aubrey, Cash, Easton, McAwly Calhoun, Cole, Madison, and Charlie Webb, Carson and Hailey Doughty, and Brook and Kyler Lindsey; great-great-grandson, Cope John Wesley Lindsey; sister, Elaine Patten; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Those honoring Ann as pallbearers were Saylor Cockerham, Labe Ford, Billy Joe Doughty, Aub Ford, Colby Cotten, and Cody Mason.

Honorary pallbearers were Robert Doughty, Cecil Boothe, Aubrey Ford, and Wayne Ford.

The family received friends at Oak Grove Free Methodist Church on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 5PM until service time on Thursday.
