Funeral services for Donnie Carol Sanders, 73 of Jonesville, LA were held at Larto Pentecostal Church on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Ronnie Wiley and Bro. Kenny White officiating. Internment followed at Nichol's Cemetery, Larto, LA, under the direction of Young's Funeral Home - Jonesville.
Donnie Carol Sanders was born on Saturday, November 11, 1950 in Jonesville, LA. and passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at Columns Nursing Home. He was a member of Larto Pentecostal Church for 55 years. Donnie was a great cook and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed simple pleasures and was a self taught musician, teaching himself how to play the piano, harmonica and drums.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delvin Sanders; mother, Verbia Wiley Sanders; paternal grandparents, Lonnie and Lizzie Mae Sanders; maternal grandparents, Cleveland and Florence Wiley; and brother, Carlos Sanders; He is survived by three sisters, Melba Wiley and her husband Ray of Deville, LA, Phyllis Wiley of Larto, LA, and Angela Ryder and her husband Donald of Larto, LA. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Johnathan Bordelon, Chris Lucas, Chad Cross, Shawn Wiley, Ray Wiley Sr. and Ray Wiley Jr..
The family received friends at Larto Pentecostal Church from 10:00 AM til 11:00 AM, Monday, June 17, 2024.
