James Lee “Jim” Bowman

Services for James Lee “Jim” Bowman were held at 10AM, Monday, June 10, 2024 at Lake Lilly Baptist Church, Jonesville, LA with Bro. Eric Peyton officiating. Visitation was from 5PM until 7PM, Sunday, June 9th and from 9AM until time of service at 10AM, Monday, June 10th at the church. Interment followed at Hamilton Family Cemetery, Monterey, LA under the direction of Magnolia Funeral Home, Alexandria, LA.

Jim, 76, of Jonesville, LA passed away Friday, June 7, 2024. He was born April 21, 1948 in Ferriday, LA, son to the late Jesse and Gloria Bowman. He lived his entire life in Catahoula Parish. He enjoyed gardening, playing his guitar and storytelling. Jim served in the Army as did his brother and both parents. He always had a steadfast faith in God.

Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Charles Bowman and wife Johanna of Forest Hill; sisters, Betty Stott and husband Jack of Baton Rouge and Jessie Ritchie and husband Ewen of St. Francisville; and eight nephews and nieces.
